short and not-so-sweet

Paisley, Ozy, and Rick (see painting in last post) have inspired me. I wanted to try and do something intelligent and interesting. Not happening though. Not this go round. I’m becoming the master of the ditty-poem. Well, maybe not the master …

So here’s my attempt…

all god’s children

now we lay down to sleep
it’s a crime
we pray god our souls to keep
it’s our time
we died in terror wide awake
in some god’s name for some cause sake

pepektheassassin – Thank you. I’ve added you to the greader and will be trying to catch up and keep up with you.

johemmant – And thank you. I aspire to the deep and beautiful but these little things just pop in my head. I suspect they’re a reflection of the childlike, black and white way I tend to view the world. I’m working on it. ;^/ Will pay you a visit soon…

pepektheassassin – not sure how I managed to “embolden” you above. Seems to fit a hit-man, so I’ll leave it.

seems pretty masterful to me. so much atrocity in the name of the peacebringer, in the name of the father of all.

always in the name of someone else.

ozymandiaz – Thanks you . High praise coming from you. I need to stop with the needy-self-deprecating stuff. I’m not a professional but I am an original, as are we all.

If you're interested in reading a fairly detailed account of addiction and depression, Cracked Head Memoirs might be for you. It basically tells how it was and what happened. Writing it helped me go from active addiction to recovery yet again.
