Well mine’s done. Not sure why such a beautiful image inspired such a dark response. Could it be because I’m a pessimistic, misanthropic little bastard? Something’s wrong with the wordpress.com media uploader. You’ll have to go to Rick’s to see the prompt until wordpress.com gets it together or I figure out how to do an end run on the problem.

dark matter
it picks up where it leaves off
it’s circular that way
ever moving ever changing
yet it always stays the same
how we got here why we are here
any answer is a guess
will our hearts begin evolving
will our brains lead us to death
astounding egos confuse completely
what is real and what is not
lives are ruined because the rule book
tells us plainly not to stop
we keep on taking till we’ve taken
what is ours then what is theirs
time is short it doesn’t matter
because the circle doesn’t care
after eons it won’t matter
our world will burn and then grow cold
never knew we weren’t the center
just a fraction of the whole.

judging from the out come,, the last line,, i would say this was a very productive work indeed.. not dark,, rather honest… anyone who denies being out for more is a freaking liar… in my book that is…… sometimes the only question to be answered is… more what?????
