bottom line — you’re sitting on it

I’ve discovered yet another pair of very interesting blogs and bloggers. Paisley and a cat named Ozymandiaz have in just two weeks converted me into a fan of poetry. I once enjoyed the old poets like Dickinson and Frost. But this modern or post-modern shit is just over my head. And quite frankly it ain’t beautiful. If it’s not beautiful and only someone with eight years of college can understand it, what’s the point?

Anyway, check out the two links above. The title of this post is in reference to Paisley’s piece. ;^/

Ozy’s take on Darfur Fridge is just phenomenal.

Two fine artist to be sure.

ozymandiaz – I liked the one you wrote on Rick’s image prompt two weeks ago. But the one you posted yesterday, man. Being a musician I’ve grown to appreciate the power of a good song to convey. I’m beginning to think poetry has the power to be even more penetrating.

I’ve added you to my feed and hope to explore some of your older posts. I tend to get sidetracked really easy, but at least I’ll be able to keep up with you from here on out for sure.
